These mermaids look exactly like humans, with two legs rather than the tail we have come to expect. In fact, they suggest they should be taxonomically classified as Homo sapiens marinus. Bravo Nadia Scrieva for such an enlivening series! Drowning Mermaids is not the stereotypical mermaid fantasy, and the first scene, which surprisingly takes place in a rowdy strip club, solidifies that. While this book does contain some sexual content and foul language, it is not overly vulgar or distracting from the plot line.
